Susan Adair - Production Sales Coordinator
“What’s great about the company is that you know your opinion is valued, and the people here are willing to try new ideas.”
In her role as production sales coordinator, Susan Adair manages the inbound and outbound freight in the Bellingham office. She also helps with boat offloads and logistics. Whether the fish is fresh, processed, or frozen, Susan makes sure everything is ready for timely delivery. She joined the Dana F. Besecker Company in 2016, after working as logistics/inventory manager for another company in the area.
“Being involved in the fishing industry in Bellingham, I’d heard about the Dana F. Besecker Company over the years. I liked that it was a family-owned business,” says Susan.
“What I like about the industry is that it is ever-changing,” she explains. Part of Susan’s job at the Dana F. Besecker Company involves managing all the changing regulations involved with shipping products around the world. She works with the fishermen, as well as the people in the trucking, cold storage, and production areas. “The best part of my job is the people I work with,” Susan says.
For Susan, what sets the D.F. Besecker Company apart from other companies is that new ideas matter and suggestions are welcomed. “They are not afraid to go in new directions, and that’s important.”
